It is not my intent for this blog to continually stray from the fine arts. I honestly do not wish to bring up politics and will strive not to do so any more. But I cannot in good conscience allow this to go unnoticed, unmentioned. My heart actually aches right now, my guts churn, the corners of my eyes threaten to shed tears – my mind fights denial and shock.

The Washington Times reported it November 4th; WorldNetDaily.com November 5th; Google reveals numerous other articles and commentary. Talk about speculative fiction – this is horror at its best written! This isn’t about religious tolerance, dear folks. It never has been. This is the real version of Dracula’s hypnosis, of us inviting our own death into our homes, smiling at our own killers in blind acceptance. How anyone who considers him/herself to be intelligent or to be a person who makes decisions based upon information and fact he/she can verify can allow this is beyond me.

Does anyone really read  the ”holy” book of Islam (the Quran, Qur’an, Koran) or the Shariah, the Islamic law? How about The Reliance of the Traveler: The Classic Manual of Sacred Law? I’ll admit to not finishing the Koran. I can only skim through the latter. I can’t read them; I reach a certain point and I get sick to my stomach. But I have made the attempt; I have studied and looked up and cross-referenced and actively sought out information from both texts and real, live, living human beings who were born, lived and come from areas of the world more predominately Islamic than America and my own culture is. Not that I must justify my search for truth and who I’ve spoken to, but my sources range from international law enforcement, international aid and counseling organizations, and American citizens either born in Islamic countries or who currently go into them in relief efforts. So in stunned disbelief that I am again forced to do this, I will state the main tenet of the “religion” of Islam that for some unknown reason is adamantly ignored by the masses. I’m not even going to bother quoting the exact text, I’m tired of having to do so. It’s not hidden away, anyone can find it online, at the library, even in histories and biographies of the era, the region, the man who initiated it all.

The holy book of Islam – the supposed religion of peace – instructs its followers to convert everyone, but if they fail to do so, to kill those they cannot convert.  It’s in black and white, in print, and cannot be denied. The first half of the instructions is common to all religions. It’s the latter half that fails to make it into the rest of them. Islam is not a religion of tolerance. It is a declaration of war disguised as a religion, issued by a warmonger chieftain centuries ago, and it grants its adherents the right to kill. Everyone. A tolerant Muslim is a non-practicing Muslim. A peaceful Muslim is a non-practicing Muslim.

Pick up the holy book or sacred laws and you’ll find countless doctrinal tenets strongly and repeatedly stated that are individually never tolerated in American society. We call Americans who speak and think in such manners bigots and racists and extremists and fundamentalists and militants and malcontents. We call them dangerous and avoid them at all costs. Yet we welcome admitted followers of Islam who believe that women are inferior to men, there are no such things as freedom of religion or of the press or of the right to freely speak; non-Muslims (infidels) are inferior to Muslims so lying to them is permissible and offensive, military jihad against them is a religious obligation, and apostasy from Islam is punishable by death. I could go on an on about the particulars of each of these – how women cannot do this or that but men can do this and that for example – but to what avail? Adherents of Islam discriminate against everyone based upon race,  creed, religion, national origin, sex, age, marital status, and sexual orientation. Americans don’t tolerate that from each other. Whether we’re African-American, German-American, Indian-American, Mexican-American we do not allow ourselves to be degraded in any manner. Why are Muslims excused? Because they’re a religion? Please. No American should have anything in common with nor find it desirable to be a Muslim. 

I realize that such a statement will make me the target of both ridicule and hatred. I will be accused of intolerance and lying. I stand by what I say and I would say the same about following a political system (Fascism) or claiming an ethnic superiority (racism) that endorsed similar repression and annihilation. Opening the doors of our financial networks and national monetary policies to this blatantly insidious assault by an entity that declares everyone not included within its membership enemy will make the current bleak economic and societal situations look like paradise.
